Ayurveda is a branch of medicine and can be studied. There is nothing anti-national about it. However Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and even Yoga cannot treat dangerous diseases and if one were to rely only on them one will just die. Talking of Yoga our world champion boxer Vijandra has said if he concentrated on Yoga he would lose all his matches. Similar is the opinion of Khalil who has said Yoga is for old people. He is a world champ in WWF. I also do yoga having learnt it at the Ashram of Swami Shraddanand, but it is not a substitute for training with weights.
Who say that yoga is substitute of training and weights. But no doubt with yoga one can improve performance.
Every physical exercise regimen serves a different purpose. Yoga is not meat for Muscle building or Abs building. It keeps one ailment free, Physically and mentally fit. Linking Yoga to train an Olympic wrestler, has no meaning at all. Yes, I can say one thing for sure, that combining yoga with weightlifting exercises will do a lot of good than with only Weightlifting exercises.
Cricketers, shooters, and other players of other games is practicising yoga and meditation, they are not fool.
Pity !!! How many of us are aware of the efficacy of our own ancient medical systems ? Ayurveda is one of the oldest Therapeutic systems in the World, which was born in Bharat. If people do not realize this fact, well, it's OK. BUT, not having faith on Ayurvedic medicines, should not be treated as anti- Nationalism.
Faith in therapy is different in person to person. Some person faith in Ayurveda some in allopethy, some in homeo pathy. So it is not fair to say anti national who have not faith in Ayurveda.

For a common heavy exercise in not suitable. The aim of common person is to keep fit and not to be a reseller. Walking, cycling, yoga, any one game is enough to keep body fit and healthy.

It is time of major surgery. Country need it. It may be some painful for all citizens of India. It is better we will prepare for it.
I agree with you. It's time for a major surgery, before the Gangrene of Congress spreads to the entire country and leads to disastrous conditions.
It is not possible to avoid disastrous condition in country if any action will taken against son and mother due and may be against son-in-law.
It will depends of Modi government how they will tackle this situation. I think government must be changed mindset of common citizen that corrupt is corrupt weather they are from first family or 100th family.

If we focus back to the good old times, we see that Parents had a say in all matters concerning their children - be it food preferences, school, college, career choice , marriage etc...Probably that depended on the times and the society as it was then. But with globalisation things have changed drastically within the society in the past two decades and we see a change in Parent - Children relationship too. Is the change for better or worse ?

No doubt relation between parents and children changed. At present parents for children is a bank to whom money, which they are getting no need to pay back. Children are independent. Relation have not affection. I am not in favor of it. Freedom is good up to a limit. Children never forgot their duty for parents and family. It is saying of old time that when size of shoes of son and father are equal, treat them like a friend. It is gold principal for relation between young children and parents.

True Usha, the relationship between parents and their kids have undergone a huge change in many ways, the cartoons you have uploaded are only one of the few examples. In some ways, the change can be said for better, earlier days it was quite unthinkable for parents to be on friendlier terms with their kids, and kids dare not challenge the authority of their parents. However, now most parents and kids have a very friendly relationship and get on with each other very nicely.

There is no religion called Saffron Hindu.
Saffron color does not represent Hindus as such. This is symbol of certain organizations subscribing to Hindutva iedology- viz. RSS, Bajrang dal, shiv Sena etc.
Sir, before the existence of these RSS, Bajrang Dal or any such organizations, Hinduism was there. Even then, it was known as Hinduism. Of course, the word Hindutva is the trait of a person who is a Hindu.

saffron symbolized some Hindu organizations. But it is not obligatory for all Hindus to wear saffron. Nobody would wear the symbolic color al the time. Bahujan Samaj Party led by Maya vati is symbolized by blue color. However every member or supporter of this party does not wear blue shirt all the time. Sometimes I wear blue trousers but that is not for supporting BSP. Blue is my favorite color.

Saffron is the color very much preferred by followers of Hinduism. Therfore the term Hindutva saffron is not an insult to Hinduism.

There are several factors to be taken in to consideration before starting an exercise regimen. For example, the Squats and Push ups mentioned in the link article are not suitable to middle aged people. Instead, such people, should choose an exercise that suits them. And in this regard, one should not forget one's age. I have chosen simple stretching exercises long ago and still continuing without any problem.

In both the Telugu States, AP and Telangana, it's raining cats and Dogs. The condition of Hyderabad is very bad. Streets are reminding water ponds. Low lying areas are flooded causing immense problems to the people. In AP, rains are severe but because of better drainage system, low lying areas are not affected.

When we overstretch and go beyond our limits it can cause damage. My niece had a pulled muscle in her knee and legs because of working out rigorously in a Gym. It took quite a while to heal , now she realises that she should have been steady and not overdo things. In our locality I see an old man nearly 75 years of age cycling for 4 -5 kms every morning distributing newspapers which is his exercise for the day and he remains active throughout the day and is fit..
