It points out in one direction in Switzerland also but you chose to turn a blind eye for obvious reasons because for you success counts and not the means. Back home it reverses.

When you join a chit fund late you have to pay a premium, Similarly when you butt in a discussion forum only on week ends then there should be a penalty. @Usha what sense are seeing in the posts is beyond me.

Shaking head sideways while agreeing to a proposal is a famous Indian style which is well documented in business negotiation tips by foreigner trainers. As Indians we should not have this problem though.

Yes spitting is a national habit. Two wheeler drivers ahead of you will do so without caring if it hits persons behind them. So when such persons go abroad on a tour it takes time for them to adjust, but by that time the tour is over !.

Indian atmosphere is full of dust and that is also one reason why even persons who do not chew tobacco frequently spit especially those who remain outdoors for long time. Yes they should exercise restraint when in cleaner atmospheres.

History is full of examples where by force or otherwise vast majority have been suppressed for centuries by few. So please do not leave the onus on the downtrodden to escape moral responsibility. A nice ploy to deflect guilt by upper castes.

How did the subject turn to caste??? Still fail to understand! On another note, these low caste people are selling off their rich, cultivable lands to builders for nice tidy amounts and go vacationing in foreign countries where there low caste standards raise their heads when they spit in public places, wear unkempt clothes and make a mess in general. Guess that makes nice image of our country, so to speak!

What logic to defend oppression. Hats off to you. Justice is still far away.

Upper caste Indians looking down upon lower caste Indians and aligning with foreigners to further malign them.

It is sad that many like to eulogise foreigners and condemn their fellow citizens. That has been our tragedy since centuries.

Here also the result would have been same if not better. Here also people want to work and earn. Why do you have such low opinion about your fellow citizens and great regard for foreigners.

Abuse does not define the whole system. In Switzerland also more than 20% voted in favour of the scheme, but here 20% or less catches your attention and you start abusing everyone. Sure blinkers are on. Everywhere you only see Sonia.

The Swiss have used the black money of the world gainfully to develop lot many industries which are world class. This is their plus point and one has to give credit to them. Many brilliant ideas do not flourish in many countries including India for want of capital at right time and at affordable interest rates. I was told by my hosts in Switzerland that lot many Swiss citizens put their money in German banks because the Swiss do not pay interest. Looks funny. @Usha and @Kalyani are looking at the success side of their economy and rightly are finding it fantastic. MGSingh and me are looking at the developmental side and find illegal money has supported their economy considerably. The Swiss have skillfully   buttered their bread both sides.

Switzrland is a beautiful country with population around 7 million, less than Mumbai. They have access to huge illegal funds from world over at zero interest which has financed the industrial growth profitably. Swiss are enterprising and innovative. The country as clean as a five star hospital. Eficiency levels are very high. It may take typical Indian lot of time to adjust. Indian nurses are in great demand and their husband's find dificulty in getting jobs and many of them develop drinking habits. Unless one is highly qualified integration in their society is difficult. Loneliness sets in. However for sometime it is a wonderful country and some may like it also.

In fact Scotland has always wanted t break away right from the nineties on-wards because the general feeling is that they are the ones who have contributed much more but gt lot less. We can see how most of the inventions came from Scotland but it is England that gets the name and fame. This seems like a good opportunity for them to take that final step and even if it does not happen immediately , it may happen at sometimes in the near future !

Here in my city tomatoes is available in 20 to 50 Rs. per kg, according to quality and all other seasonal vegetable at 20 to 40 Rs per kg.

ABSIVAKUMAR wrote: Sir, please read THE HINDU OF TODAY, THAT is, 26th of June 2016.  Though am not from AP, there is recorded evidence that the entire area is a huge tract of agricultural land.  Whatever project you are talking about, will it substitute the rich agriculture of 33,000 acres, Sir?  Why should we destroy fertile agricultural land? Exactly, there are large tracts of barren lands in all states which can be reclaimed for development. Why sacrifice rich, fertile lands for development when there is growing need for growing food and also for afforestation?

suni51 wrote: I think the British are going for a re-poll in near future. If the things remain the same there will be serious rethinking in Ireland and Scotland too. True...it will not take much for Ireland to break away from the Kingdom, and Scotland has already started thinking towards its exit from the Kingdom as it seriously wants to remain with the EU.
