rambabu replied to the topic Different prices of vegetables in different places..
AP Government fixed a price, above which, vegetables and eggs and chicken should not be sold. The reason is, there are several village fairs, where all vegetables, chicken and eggs are abundantly available. Another facility in AP is these village products are made available through Fair price outlets. Prices of all these are under control. Otherwise severe action will be taken against the violators.Government of AP is supervising the markets on daily basis.

No, it is a true fact, localities where IT professionals are more in number, prices for almost everything is very steep than in places where these people are not. It is happening in Pune, big time. But yes, on the whole, lack of a fixed price policy no matter how big or small the yield is and all other factors you have named, the most valid reason is unwillingness on government's part to do the things right and on the right time.

Sir, please read THE HINDU OF TODAY, THAT is, 26th of June 2016. Though am not from AP, there is recorded evidence that the entire area is a huge tract of agricultural land. Whatever project you are talking about, will it substitute the rich agriculture of 33,000 acres, Sir? Why should we destroy fertile agricultural land?
Exactly, there are large tracts of barren lands in all states which can be reclaimed for development. Why sacrifice rich, fertile lands for development when there is growing need for growing food and also for afforestation?
Kalyani, it is happening here in Karnataka too where vast stretches of forest land has been mowed down right in the middle of western ghats to build several resorts and a hydel project owned by a private concern apparently owned by one of the ministers of Karnataka. There is Asha devi new face of Congress who has gobbled up 50 hectares of forest land and convicted too..I am sre there are many such leaders who care two hoot for nation and preserving its natural wealth ..

Directly or indirectly all Indians living abroad do contribute in some way or the other. Why do we have high regard and make much of people like Raghuram Rajan and other similar personalities who are all US citizens ? Monetarily they may not contribute but they do in other ways by projecting the image of their native country , i guess I dont need to elaborate on that ..

In my own city Tomatoes are selling at Rs 50 now although it did go up for some time. There was also hoarding by the traders which was one of the causes for prices to go up. None of the vegetables are over 70 rupees here ..I feel it depends on different regions and how bad the drought has been in that particular region and the onus is on the state government too..

I am yet to understand what saffronization is ? and what are its true implications ? Simply branding something saffron or green does not really mean anything. also a statement coming from a minister taken probably out of context does not make much of a difference to the policies adapted by the Central government, which has a development plan chalked out and is committed to providing good governance. Of course opposition wants to draw attention just to show that things are not going right which is understandable because there is nothing else . But looking beyond their noise we need not worry because Modi is a good leader and he has only one agenda of development and strengthening the nation.

Yes sir. I do believe in saffronization of education. There are two reasons for my belief. First is Saffron is a sacred color linked with Hinduism. Second is Saffron is a part of our national flag. Saffronized education is the most suitable education for this Country Bharat. Naturally Saffronized education is the policy of NDA Government.

What has knowledge on Hinduism got to do with saffronization of education. I am an educated and proud Hindu and know about it as much as anyone like me knows. So why are you directing me to such sites. Answer the issues. The pot is calling the kettle black. You avoid replying to raised issues and I am dragging the discussion!!!!!

Of course, common man needs are to be addressed first. It's not true that NDA failed to control prices. Delayed monsoon is the main reason for price rise. In certain parts of the Country because of delayed Monsoon Prices rose up. But in AP, TDP which is in coalition with BJP, definitely succeeded in controlling the prices.
