I beg to differ because I have applied for both death and birth certificates here and find it well regularised in my state ! You just fill in the particulars and whatever else is required and submit it at the counter and pay the fees depending on how many original documents you need , at the SBI branch located right next door and once again give the challan which gets attached to your application form .After this they give you a date for collection which is normally after a week and you get the certificate on the stipulated date ! No bribes and absolutely no chance for any harassment, I guess it is because Mangalore corporation is relatively corruption free compared to other cities ..

I don't think so. The Government employees know more about their right than their responsibilities. Go and see a Government office. After my father-in- Law's death, I had to run from pillar to post to obtain a Death certificate. Every time I go, i used to get the answer from the concerned clerk, "Its my Lunch time" Or his Boss out of Station. I'm not alone. I can quote several examples like this.

A sensible suggestion. There is nothing wrong in debating. Its through debate only a right way will surface.

Is there an example that showed Justice was done to a poor man ? if that's so, why the driver of Salman Khan went in hiding and asked for protection from the police ? He knows very well what would happen. He will be arrested and put behind the bars.

All government employees are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities. It is the one's who are more interested in milking their positions who create problems and yet succeed.

It is wrong to say that law is made for the rich and powerful. law is equally applicable to all. It is in its implementation that money power comes into play.

I did not mean bribes. What I meant was there should be accountability of their actions. Whatever a Government employee does, it should aimed at the Welfare of the people.

Rafi's voice was used by OP. Nayyar in many movies. Of course Mukesh sang for Rajkapoor in most of the Movies. Exception was Do Ustad, a Raj Kapoor, madhubala starrer. Rafi sang for Raj kappor. EERA Rarka, Worli Ka Naka... is one og the songs. Hemant Kumar sang for Dev. The interlude bits were played by RD on Mouth Organ in the song, Hai Apna Dil...
You are parroting my post in the first half and the rest is disjointed ..not sure how Dev anand and Hemant kumar come in probably found its way from some link online !
However the song pictured on Kishore is sung in playback by Md Rafi!! The song is I think is"ajab hai dastaan teri yeh zindagi --' I could be wrong also.
This song was from the film Shararat which had Kishore Kumar playing a double role ( Meena Kumari and Kum Kum) and one of them had Kishore singing for himseland the other had Rafi singing..

Incidentally, there is no mention of Martial law in Indian constitution. Our neighboring country, Pakistan had Martial law many times but this is by way of coup and unconstitutionally removing a lawful govt. This virtually means that the elected govt. is forcibly removed from power and replaced by military junta. In appropriate circumstances, there is provision of proclaiming emergency- external aggression, internal disturbance, financial crisis.
AFSPA and Martial Law are one and the same ?. If so, before imposing Martial Law, has the Government obtained the approval of the president? I understand, without the approval of the President either Martial Law or AFSPA cannot be promulgated. Please clarify.
Martial law is not legal and cannot be imposed constitutionally. AFSPA gives special powers to armed forces but still they are under civil administration. Under martial law, civil authorities are subordinate to army unlike the current system. Martial law implies coup by military junta and forcible removal of govt. in power elected lawfully.

Long ago, when there were no channels apart from Doordarshan, a serial used to shown (I don't remember the name). Short stories of one or two episodes based on Premchand's stories were shown in that serial. Stories such as Bade Ghar Ki Bahu, Usne Kaha Tha and many more.

Nothing wrong in claiming rightful share???? Whoa!! Does that mean you subscribe to the government employees taking 'rightful' bribes?

The fact that Law is made and meant for the rich and influential is well known. Salman is both rich and popular. These two factors are more than enough to commit any crime and go scot-free for Salman. Owing to this very reason, the poor driver of Salman's Gypsy was fearing to come out and challenge Salman's acquittal. If and when this situation in the Judicial system changes and the Law is made equal to all, rich will continue to exploit the loop holes in the system and poor will remain in jails not for Eighteen years but all along their lives.
