Hi friends in this article we will discuss about India’s chance of becoming the number one side in the test ranking, without sharing the top spot with the South Africa. Yes, if we win the third test against Sri Lanka, in Mumbai, then it is assured that we will be the best side in the world, when it comes to the test rankings.
Being in a tremendous form, will definitely give India a great advantage and if we continue the same performance, we can produce a same result as we did it in Kanpur and can also maintain the record, of not losing against the Lankan team even for one time in our soil.
Really it is great to see all the batsmen in great form and added to that the bowling, especially Sreesanth and the debutant Ojha will definitely be impressive in the Mumbai test and they will be supported by the senior bowlers, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
With this stupendous form I guess we can win any team in the world and most importantly they can continue this test form in ODI and T 20’s also, because, except Dravid and Laxman, the rest of players will be there for the ODI squad and most importantly Laxman and Dravid will be replaced by youngsters who are also known as the ODI specialist.. It is really hard to except Dravid in ODI squad, but who knows with his great form in test, he may also be in the ODI squad.
One of the drawback for Indian team is the absence of Gautam Gambhir, who is in the form of his life and unfortunately he may miss his hatrick ton in Mumbai, as he takes leave to attend his sisters marriage. This is a huge disappointment for all the Indian fans, but let u hope he is replaced by a suitable player.
Murali Vijay has a great chance to replace him and as a matter of fact he also did well and scored some 30’s in his debut test match, where at that time also he was replacing Gambir. So it is a great chance for this young lad to prove and he is also in great form with the bat as very recently he has scored a century in the Ranji trophy match. He also fields well and he did well even in the first match he played, where he was responsible for taking the two main opposition wickets.
So let us hope that India makes history in the third test match against Sri Lanka at Mumbai, which commences from 2nd December and let us also hope that Gambir’s absence does not affect the India’s victory. So stay tuned and watch India’s win
