Our country is faced with many problems. One of the big problem is that of rising prices. It is almost impossible to buy any commodity a few months later at its present price. The most affected are the salaried class who get a fixed amount of money. Their expenditure plan meets a setback when they find the prices of the commodities are going beyond their budget. The low and poor class find it difficult even to meet their basic requirements. Only the traders and the businessmen are able to cope with this problem.
There are various Factors responsible for this problem :
1. Growing population is one of the biggest problems. Our population is increasing at a fast rate which may turn situations different in the future.
2. Deficit budgeting by our Government result in high inflation rate. The load of black money in the market enhances the seriousness of the problem.
3. The uneven distribution and improper transportation of various commodities, especially those which are perishable, leads to scarcity. As a rule the demand higher than supply is a tempting criteria for the seller to increase the price of that particular commodity.
Corruption, strikes, unwanted bribery and smuggling complicate the problem of higher prices. The government should take serious measures to check this problem. They should come front with bright idea and innovations. Every possible step should be taken to free the society from corruption and narrow selfish ends. This is possible when there is considerable increase in production along with its proper distribution. The commodities should not be hoarded in the stores.
Onions are making us cry
There is nothing to be mentioned as you all know that our pockets become empty when it comes to our diet. Onions are really making us cry. They are the necessities and part of our daily requirement and when it comes to prefer them, we are obstructed. It might come in the budget of rich people but what will be there for poor ones. They cannot afford these sky touching prices. With the change of the seasons, the prices also change.
These problems are accompanied bu many climatic hazards such as high rainfall, drizzling etc. The storage's are affected too by pests and microorganisms. When there is a drought or flood, the prices automatically rises in the affected and prone areas. These conditions are common in India. What the thing, government does not satisfies us is that they could not keep pace with the stocks. Deficit budgeting by our Government result in high inflation rate as mentioned above.
Responsibility of Government
Government should take positive initiatives and come with promising words. There should be ways to tackle such situations. Storage problems, bad harvest etc needs to cared. High prices harass people in everyday life whether it is petrol, diesel or vegetables. A good step will not only bring smile on the face of common people but also to the depressed ones, the poor ones who are affected most. After all, the nation is praised when its leaders leads it towards development and provide comfort and happiness to its citizens.
