Our earth is very beautiful land.
Our earth is a planet. It is moving in space. It goes round the sun. Earth receives light from the sun. It is like a ball.
Air and water
Our earth has land, water and air. Air is very important to all living things. People, animals’ birds and plants, all need air. We cannot see it. But we cannot live without air.
Moving air is called wind. Wind carries clouds from one place to another. Clouds are source of rain water.
We find water in oceans, seas, rivers, lakes and ponds. These are water bodies. An ocean or sea is a large water body, but no useful to drink. Rivers and leaks are small water bodies. This water is useful for crop fields, manufacture factories drinking and others uses.
Plains and Hills
Land has different forms. In some places land is vey high, in some places. It is very low and in some places it is flat.
*The flat land to equal to sea level is called a plain. Many people live on plains.
*Flat land rising above the sea level is called plateau.
*The land, which rises to a high point, is called a hill.
*Big and high hills are called mountains.
- There are many high mountains, which have snow- covered peaks. The snow, when it melts, turns into water. This water flows down and takes the form of water. This water flows down and takes the form of a river.
Forests
*Forests are found on all types of land. Forests are the home of wild animals. Different types of trees grow in the forests. Some people also live in the forests. They hunt wild animals. We get wood from the forest. The good wood is used for making furniture. And uses from the forests. Forest protecting is main responsibility.
