“Indian Culture : A Myth or A reality?”
Indian Culture is a reality, it can never be a myth. In this era of globalization on the whole world has turned into a global village. There is a large scale fusion of cultures of different parts of this global village. In these circumstances the possibility of each part is able to preserve its culture in its original form is a matter of debate. It is sure that there is an intermingling of components of different culture with each other. But the originality of a culture can be preserved very easily. A person belonging to a particular culture must not forget his basic traditions and one should adopt only that component from the other culture which in the line with one’s own culture and made for the human welfare. Still after advent of numerous components of other cultures in the festivals, marriages, etc. We also know to respect our elders, and still worship the same God. Indian culture is the oldest one and no other culture can replace or totally change our Indian culture. So Indian culture is reality and will remain a reality forever. Indian culture is a reality and the strength of Indian culture is such that it can change the culture of whole world but it will not change. Our culture being the oldest in the world contains all the basic elements of human existence. Our forefathers were well aware of all cultural requirements of a human being and on the basis of their imagination and creation they had synthesized our culture which is the widest and most unique culture of the world. Thus it is certainly a reality.
Indian culture was reality but in the present scenario it is a myth. The impact of globalization on our culture is such that we are forgetting all about our culture and adopting the others’ culture. We can see that our culture provides us food which contains very less amount of non-vegetarian foods and also very small intake of liquor. But in our modern society these things become a basic requirement for us. Without these things celebration is not complete. We also adopting the dress code of other culture. the sarees and the suits of women is being replaced by jeans-top and mini skirts and skin-tights. All this has changed the whole face of our culture. Thus now Indian culture is a new one which has removed its original and tradition face. Therefore Indian culture has remained India only in name.
SOME PEOPLE SAYING INDIAN CULTURE IS RERALITY AND SOME PEOPLE SAYING IT’S A MYTH. BUT THE QUESTION REMAIN AT THE SAME PLACE….
