At our workplace or near our home in our day to day activities we interact with lot of people. These people get segregated into 2 main categories. Either they are get categorized into our friends or as enemies. Very rarely do they fit into any other category. Therefore it becomes very important to understand them properly for our own good.
Enemy's Enemy is never our friend:- This theory does not work in real life. We do ourselves more harm than good by adopting this theory. This theory could ruin our happiness and peace of wind and possibly ruin our health and life.
One who talks good about you need not necessarily be a friend:- Just because somebody talks good about you, he need not necessarily be your friend or well wisher. He may be doing so only because of his nature of speaking good things about people or wants to be in your good books. He could be doing this just to please you or sustain his friendship with you. He could also be doing this to reciprocate the feeling you have for him. The intention could be selfish or selfless but still you cannot surely consider him as your friend.
One who condemns you need not necessarily be your enemy:- If a person is not in agreement with your or criticizes you or finds fault with you, he need not necessarily be your enemy always. May be you are at fault and he is just pointing it to you. His criticism could be constructive and he has only your good interests in mind. Since you are unable to accept your own faults or tolerate criticism you mentally treat him as your enemy.
Enemies can also be depended upon:- Sometimes it is better to depend on a enemy who stays closer to you, rather than a friend who stays far away from you. In a crisis this enemy of yours who stays near you is easily accessible and reachable. One thing to be remembered is even you enemy is a human being and he is bound to help you on humanitarian grounds.
Friends & Enemies are not permanent:- Nobody is a permanent friend or permanent enemy. Misunderstandings could break your friendship and your friend could become your enemy. Similarly compulsions could make your enemy turn into your friend.
