Sareen is a 12 year old girl who never knew why her parents wanted her to visit her uncle’s place in Ahmadabad. Her grandparents made it a point that the family visits the place regularly. She hated her uncle very much. Though, this Sunday, she had been warned that she was suppose to attend the place as it had been over a year that they haven’t been there. Sareen was obnoxious but then her mom managed to get her, saying that she was to get a shock or rather a surprise when she would reach her uncle’s place. Now surprises are something that drives or pushes adults where Sareen was just a kid. She got all excited and restless at the same time.
It was 8 in the evening and the family was to start their journey at 9. Sareen had her food and gasped towards her room. She packed her stuffs and was the first one to reach the car. Sareen could hardly wait for others to come. The clock said 9 and everyone were ready and adjusted themselves in their quintessential black ambassador car. The ladies of the house occupied the back seats and Sareen’s grandfather accompanied her dad, who was driving. They were driving their ways to Ahmadabad which was 8 hours from their place.
On their way to Ahmadabad, Sareen kept thinking what exactly the surprise could be. She kept guessing and her mom kept denying. Finally, Sareen gave up and requested her dad to switch on the radio. The radio spoke about announcements on Limdi. Limdi is a village that comes between their way to Ahmadabad. The announcement made it clear for the drivers that they better monitor their speed while they come across the village. It also mentioned not to stop anywhere on the way, as the place was believed to be haunted. They stressed that even emergencies for stopping the car could be harmful. Limdi has recorded over thousands of accidents every year. Sareen got bored and changed the radio station. Her grandfather laughed on the announcement and ordered Sareen’s father that he better stop the car as there was a poor lady on the way gesturing for a lift.
They halted the car and open down the window. The lady seemed very hapless. She said that she was exhausted and couldn’t manage her way to her home which was few miles ahead. Sareen’s father had a soft-heart and let her in. Though, Sareen’s grandmother didn’t like it but chose to keep mum. The lady sat beside Sareen’s grandfather. Sareen lied down on her mother’s lap as it was already 12 in the midnight. Sareen’s grandmother couldn’t take the heat and was thirsty. She asked for a bottle of water kept in front of that lady on the dashboard, while her eyes caught something horrifying. Sareen’s grandmother found that the lady had twisted feet which was believed to be a sign of a devil. She didn’t panic and whispered the same to Sareen’s mother. She passed on the message to Sareen’s Dad. He quietly observed the same and was taken aback. He couldn’t resist himself and stopped the car and shouted out loud to the lady to get off. She got off and gave a skanky smile to Sareen and vanished in a jiffy.
The whole family was scared now. Sareen’s father drives as fast as he could. They were completely stunned. Sareen’s father kept thinking and thinking why, why did it happen. Suddenly, he realised that it was Limdi where they stopped and before he could let others know, the same devilish lady appeared in front of him. He saw the lady on the road roaring at him. He didn’t carry the guts to drive over her and turned the car instead. Sareen and her mother screamed till BANG and the car found a huge tree. The glass of the window in the back sliced down the heads of everyone except the little girl. The little girl had a miraculous escape and got out of the car. Sareen saw her family crushed to death and she was standing hapless. But she had to find someone for help and went back on the road crying for help. She managed to stop a bus for help. The bus driver and few passengers calmed her down and asked her what exactly had happened. Sareen told them everything about the horrifying event.
Sareen was brave enough to act wise and took the others to the spot. They managed to get her family’s headless corpse out of the car but couldn’t find their heads. They tried a lot but in vain. Finally, they decided to take the little girl to her home back and call her uncle and let him know about it as well. They got back into the bus and took off and gave Sareen enough space to lie down till then. She kept weeping and could visualize those scenes right in front her eyes. Scenes like her grandfather laughing on the announcement, the lady asking for help and then vanishing in thin air and then the accident. But one thing that she could never forget was that smile that the lady carried on her face before she vanished. Evil, evil as it could be!
When they reached home, Sareen called her uncle and told them the whole story. She still couldn’t believe that she was now all alone, without a family. She was broken and started crying. The bus driver tried to cheer the girl saying that it was a miracle that her life was spared but she couldn’t stop weeping. She didn’t listening to him and walked her way up towards her parents’ bedroom. The bus driver was about to follow her but others stopped him and said that it was better to let her stay alone for a while and in any case her uncle would be able to manage her once he reached.
Suddenly, the girl screamed loudly and everyone ran towards the bedroom. ASTONISHED! They could not believe what their eyes could see. The whole room stained with blood and the upper parts of the body, the HEADS, were lying on the bed. It was carnage. Sareen never knew that life could have planned such a SHOCK for her that even her mom wasn’t aware of. Sareen couldn’t take it anymore and her head started spinning and she fell down out of dizziness. No one had thought that a devil could slaughter people in such a manner and end their life with a FULL STOP
