Hi friends in this article let us see something different and also something that belongs to the past and has a lot of history. To start with, from my point of view I was aware of this after watch the film called “THE MUMMY”.I guess you would have guessed what we are going to discuss, ya, it is about the Mummies. To be very frank I was totally unaware of them, till I say the film and moreover I was thinking that Mummies were present only in Egypt, but later I discovered that they are also found in many countries. The meaning of the word “MUMMY” is derived from the Persian language which actually means “BITUMEN” and this is defined as a black resin which is used for embalming the dead look like bitumen.
Mummies are not only found in Egypt but they are also found in some other parts of Africa, Peru, West China, South America etc.Well, many might knew why people followed the concept of preserving the dead bodies. The reason for this is that, they believed people who die will have their rebirth and so they need their body for their next life. They not only just preserve the body but also keep many gold and other ornaments. I guess I have hear this news when I was young, that when any member of the King’s family die, they used to preserve the body and they also used to keep 2 soldiers near the coffin, which eventually results in their death also.
So here we will discuss about the mummies are preserved. Once a person dies, then the whole body is applied with drying agent and to be precise they are stuffed inside the body, when all the internal organs of the body are removed. The Greeks followed three methods and all these methods depend on the way the internal organs of the body are removed. They followed these techniques effectively and that is why we could still see Mummies of 1000 BC still in good condition. Usually when we consider the steps involved in the removal of internal organs, they usually take all the internal organs except the kidney and heart
