The dark firmament is spotted,
With starlight so mundane.
Its fairness by a Sun,
So removed from rareness.
But a comet !
Its stupefying spell over mortals,
Its optimizing scarcity,
And its prismatic beauty,
Graces the sky but rarely !
Jewels are many,
Like the sand by the sea.
Diamonds, like pieces of shattered glass.
But only one may hold the enchanting blue !
For in it He has placed,
The depths of all the Earth's Oceans !
Such are the treasures of our world.
That He crafted with care,
Yet with the hand of miser.
Just so, when the assembly is called,
Of all that He wrought,
There is one to outshine them all.
Like a scarce comet to light the Heaven,
Like a blue diamond to crown all gems.
In it dwells the brilliance of sunlight,
As does the abyss of the seas.
It is itself !
nothing so precious,
Yet in abundance,
Nothing so beautiful,
Yet so vicious,
Nothing so fragile,
Yet so tenacious,
Has He, since, crafted
To rejoice in itself, To behold His Creation,
To marvel its splendour,
To reflect His Own self in vibrance !
