WHY DO WE SOMETIMES CRY WHEN WE LAUGH?
Our bodies react similarly when emotions run high. A few scientists have explained about the physical causes for emotional tears, but none have explained clearly why these tears exist. But when ever we laugh well, our laughter is always follewed by tears. This is because, after a big laughing jag, tears are a sign that the body is returning to normal.
What tears are made of, however, may offer further clues about why we cry. Unlike tears that tumble off from our eyes when we chop onions, emotional tears are unusually rich in protein based hormones that spike when we are stressed.
This fact led one US biochemist to theorize that releasing tears-and thus the hormones in them-may be the body's attempt to reduce stress. Regardless of its cause, whether its for a pleasure or pain, people do tend to feel better, after a good cry.
WHY ARE BUTTONS ON WOMEN'S CLOTHES PLACED ON THE LEFT SIDE WHILE MEN'S ARE ON THE RIGHT?
The answer for this question has its reason in the Victorian era, at a time where buttons were expensive and were used only by the wealthy people. As we know, the wealthy women had servants to dress them. As most people are right handed, their buttons were placed on the servant's right, which actually is the left for the Wearer. On the other hand, the men dress up themselves, and hence for their convenience, the bottom were placed to the wearers right itself. Though later women did not afford the servants to dress, they copied the style of the wealthy, and hence the button remains to the left for women's dresses still.
