I am hard worker
I am always working - Ant
An ant is hard worker. Co-operative and discipline are in their ants.
The `driver ant’s of Africa are very fierce. They keep wondering from place to place and have no permanent home. They march in columns, like a big army. There are many million in number. They eat up any living thing along their way even tied –up farm animals. There may be a python, unable to move after swallowing a goat or a deer. If a column of `driver ants’ is traveling that way, they will eat both the python and the animals in its stomach! Even big animals like tigers and elephants are afraid of theses ants.
Thus we see that ants are very brave, hard-working and intelligent insects. A scientist was watching a number of ants in a pit. There the ants had killed a big insect for food. They tore it up into small bits. Then they started carrying these pieces up the wall of the pit. Each ant was carrying a piece about twice its own weight. The brave ants went on without taking ant rest. But near the top of the top of the pit, it was very smooth and slippery. Each time the ants tried to go up they fell own with their loads. After many attempts, only one of them was able to reach the top. This one at once informed other members of the colony, and brought them to the edge of the pit. Then a remarkable thing happened.
The ants at the top began climbing down into the pit, backwards. Each held the back of the ant that was above it. In this way they formed an ant-chain which slowly reached the place where the other ants were waiting with loads. Now these ants easily climbed up the chain and came out of the pit.
