Holi is one of the most popular festivals of India. It is observed on the full moon night of phalguna. It also marks the beginning of a new season. Now the winter ends and the spring begin.
Holi is a festival of colours .It is a great example of unity of diversity. It increases the bonding among all religion. But we should play it very carefully. A long ago colours were made at home. But now all are available in market.
Mainly three types of colours are available in the market. Water colour, oil paint and powder (abeer).Water and oil colour are not good but powder colour is good. If it is herbal then it is very good.
But you don’t know what colours will be given to you. Many colours have chemical which are very harmful to skin. It contains mercury or silver or ammonium-die-oxide. It may be allergenic to sensitive skin. If these chemicals are thrown in your hair, it may damage your hair and hair fall problem may occur. So some tips:-
1) First avoid chemical colour, use herbal powder.
2) Cover your body with cotton cloths as much as possible. Don’t use synthetic cloths.
3) Use sunscreen cream or coconut oil. Olive oil or lacto calamine lotion can be used. It will help to move out the colour quickly.
4) Don’t use detergent or kerosene in body.
5) Use sunglass, It will protect your eyes.
6) Use Vaseline in nails.
If you have already allergy then take anti-allergenic medicine. If eyes are affected, wash with fresh water and if necessary go to a doctor. Baby soap can be used for your children.
We all know that entertainment is good but should not be harmful to others.
