When we open our eyes and look around us, we find ourselves being surrounded by the ocean of colours and these colours have a deep impact in our lives in some way or the other. In fact, we are influenced by colours in every moment of our lives sometimes either consciously or at the other times unconsciously.
Colour and our mood.
Let me begin with asking you a simple question that how much do you think colours could influence your lives? Well, I am going to answer this question myself!. Normally, we don't have much idea about it just because we are not aware of it. Just think about some situations in our daily lives. For instance, sometimes, we don't like to be in a particular room while at other times we like to spend hours in another room. Do you know the reason for this? Yes, in brief , we can say that colours play an important role in this behaviour of ours and maybe because we find the colour of the other room more appealing to us we tend to spend hours in it. The colours that surround us actually determines our moods to a great extent. Even colour blind people are affected with this phenomenon.
Colour and our perception.
Colour is very much related with light. When we see a substance in dim light and again try to see the same substance in bright light we will notice a great difference in its look. Again, awareness about colours also differs from person to person, for instance, if you see a substance of bluish green colour it is not always necessary that the other person also will see the same colour and it is a very much possibility that he or she might see the same substance as green. Basically, the difference lies in the fact that the person who is saying that the colour of the said substance is green can see the green colour more than you can and therefore the substance seems to you are bluish green rather than green. Moreover, colour provides power and strength to us both externally and internally which I am going to discuss in detail after sometime. For the time being, let me inform you that every colour that we find around us have some meaning and they influence our lives to a great extent.

It helps us to look at things from a high perspective and increases our imaginative powers. This colour brings peace in mind and serenity in heart. It cultivates the habit of being social within us.
Dispersion of light and our mentality
In 1666, Sir Issac Newton with the help of a prism saw the colour of the rainbow. This is known as electro-magnetic dispersion. He proved the fact that the light is not only a colour but a group of seven colours like red, orange, green, blue, yellow, indigo and violet.

He believed that these colours had to do a lot with individuals personality and he could describe a person's personality with the help of these colours. With the help of infrared technology, we can view those colours that are not visible to normal eyes. Besides, with the help of thermal imaging the warmth of a particular colour could be obtained and used for various purposes. It is also said that the shade of colours that is emitted by a human body could be very well utilized to determine the overall condition of the human body including the psychological conditions of an individual. You will be surprised to know that even our breathing is related with colours. We can think of a colour and inhale air or oxygen into our body.
