HI friends this time let us see two recipes where we use Palak.First one is the Palak Chicken and next is the Palak Paneer.
1.PALAK CHICKEN
Ingredients:
Chicken 1no.
Spinach 500 gms.(sliced)
Onions 4 nos.
Ginger 2" piece
Garlic 10 flakes
Tomatoes 500 gms
Garam masala 1 tbsp.
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp.
Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
Green chilies 4 nos.
Ghee 5 tbsp.
Chili powder to taste
Cream to fry.
Salt to taste
Directions to cook:
step1 First grind the ginger, garlic and onion to a paste.
step2 Now heat Ghee and fry the ground paste to a golden brown colour.
step3 Add tomatoes and cook till the ghee separates.
step4 Add spinach and fry till the ghee comes to the top.
step5 Then add the chicken. Mix well, then add 1 glass water.
step6 Cover tightly and cook over a low fire till the chicken is tender and dry and fry till the oil leaves the side of the pan.
step7 Put in a serving dish and pour cream over the top before serving.
2.PALAK PANEER
Ingredients:
Paneer 200 gms.
Spinach (palak) 2 bunches
Onion 1 no.
Tomato 2 nos.
Milk ½ cup
Garam masala ½ tsp.
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
Red chili powder ½ tsp.
Oil 2 tbsp.+ to fry
Salt to taste
Directions to cook:
step1 First wash and boil palak leaves in minimum water for about 5 minutes.
step2 Then grind boiled the palak coarsely.
step3 Cut the Paneer into cubes and deep-fry till golden brown.
step4 Add oil in a pan and heat. Add the chopped onions.
step5 When the onion turns golden brown in colour, add the Ginger Garlic paste and chili powder.
step6 Next add the tomato puree and cook till oil leaves the pan.
step7 Now add the Garam Masala Powder and palak. Mix well.
step8 Add milk and let it cook till it is of a thick consistency.
step9 At last add salt and now add the paneer just before serving.
