A good book stimulates out thoughts, imparts information, enriches vocabulary and broadens our mental horizon and we should read book on various subjects and field.
2. INCREASE YOUR VOCABULARY
Write few new words everyday. Revise these words regularly and try to use them in writing and speaking.
3. HAVE A HOBBY WHICH STIMULATES THE MIND
Having a satisfying hobby will do much to keep you relaxed, healthy and happy. Don’t waste your time gossiping, loitering or eaves dropping.
4. ASK QUESTIONS AND LISTEN ATTENTIVELY
Get into the habit of talking to all types of people. They will impart lots of useful and interesting information.
5. STUDY NEW SUBJECT A YEAR
Make it a point to learn a new course every year. You will never deteriorate every year. You will never deteriorate mentally. Your life will be more interesting and satisfying as the years go by.
6. READ A GOOD NEWSPAPER DAILY
Our general knowledge, or vocabulary and our awareness of life are all brightened by newspapers.
7. SELECT SUITABLE RADIO OR TELIVISION PROGRAMMES
Instead of sitting hours before the idiot box, select some informative, stimulating and uplifting T.V. programmes.
8. JOIN A GROUP DISCUSSION CLUB
If there isn’t any club nearby form a GD club yourself. You will learn to speak in public, put your ideas more effectively and communicate in better manner.
9. JOIN A LIBRARY
Even if you don’t have time, join a library. May be you won’t be able to finish the book completely, but you will read and gain something.
10. ALWAYS THINK POSITIVE
Fear, worry, anxiety, these a\three sap profitable mental activity. To keep both mind and body in their fittest condition, always think positive.
