Reservation in private sector
Our constitution is just for name is secular but doing everything by giving stress on caste, religion. This is not good. In constitution all should not be treated according to caste or religion.
Reservation should be given according to economical background but it should also have limited area mean to say that Govt. should give reservation in field of study do that economically poor can get good education. Reservation should be totally removed from class 1, 2, 3 grade jobs and from teaching lines.
Recent study has shown us that the reservations don’t benefit the targeted people. Private sector mostly comprises of MNCs and other players.
They target India due to the availability of cheap labor. I don’t think that government should force them to implement reservation and keep the less qualified people who enter through reservation. Reservation can be in the terms of financially backwardness.
Reservation is one of the most absurd ideas by the Indian politicians. Whole concept of this is only of vote bank. I had been affected a lot by this reservation. Reservation brings down the quality factor & private sectors are interested only in quality, so there is no question of reservation in private sector.
Reservation has now almost became a birth right for any backward or scheduled community. Now the major question is where are the creamy layer? How are they gone being identified? Will it keep people from forging their community certificate to change it to SC or ST community?
Lots of unanswered questions still remain & the government cannot expect any significant development in the country if these unqualified people go in front ditching the deserving ones. Thus causes an exodus good brain leaves the country and fools & charlatans remain to rule this country.
Reservations now a days had become in political bait for voters. I don’t see any end to this system. No party in parliament dares to stop it, rather they are all promising to extend it each time. As said by all of you it is grossly misused now days. Here is the simple example.
In any professional field, one who gets reservation in under graduation should come to equal status after graduating in economic terms, opportunities and social status as in open candidate. But he is still put on advantage while applying for PG course, is it that despite being a professional after degree course they can’t be considered socially equal?
Are they still at disadvantage because of their cast? Or are they at special advantage due to their cast. I think second on is true in current scenario.
I think reservation is just like other flagship programs of India.
Planned & commenced right from independence.
Since then plan is implemented with great transparency.
Results: Status of most SC & ST stills same.
I am not against reservation but I want to suggest certain corrections in this process. Like it should be confined up to higher secondary level, it should not be on the basis of caste etc.
In my opinion concept of exclusion of Creamy Layer from this benefit is a revolutionary step.
